I've the same problem with qt branch (as posted in trac).

KMS, r600g (Gallium3D) (Radeon HD4290), linux 2.6.38 (same with 2.6.36), mesa 7.10.1 Qt 4.6.3

A very nice and stable release overall. Some minor bugs, for example on a few occasions the font got messed up a bit. Also a few of the models have shading problems on my computer (gtx 560). Light wheels, truck turret, the steel tower zigzag pattern and the oil derrick fence flicker between shadowed and lit while the screen is moving. Also one face of the oil derrick is missing / flipped.

I had to chance to 2.3.7, although I can play StarCraft 2 or Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with highest settings without any problems...

Until now it just tested Qt. I will test the other version tomorrow and submit the result right away.

I concurr. Although I would rather consider this an uncompleted feature. In fact I was looking forward to wz letting me use both (or all three) display. The main menu should be locked aside (fixed distance from top/left border), as it doesn't look good split in the middle, there should be options for users to choose whether they want multimon or do they want to confine the game to a single monitor.

I ran some tests with the other version as well and I still had slowdowns, especially in my own base. But compared to Qt there have been no steady slowdowns, sometimes it works all right. But the longer a game takes the more and even worse slowdowns occured.

Hi there,
I recognized that the units and trees are flimmering all the time for me and my friends. Does anyone have the same problem?
And a question: Why did you change so much from the gameplay? The sync is very nice now, but I liked the old gameplay more.

Building units takes much longer, there's no green progress bar anymore (the bar where you pay the energy). Me and my friends got really bored because everything took so long.

This change is still under heavy discussion; i feel most people would agree with you on this one.

Maybe I'm wrong with this one, but it felt like it took very long to build 4 vipers or one Python with a machinegun. Also researching took a bit longer.

Build time is a damn important part of the game balance; if it were consciously changed, you'd have heard about it. So this is either a bug or an illusion.
