The Warzone 2100 Project staff bring you a new special testing build, master-20101201

This release brought to you by: The digits 0, 1 and 2 and the letter M.

This build features the new netcode that everyone has been waiting for.
We eagerly await feedback for this Special Testing build!

NOTE: command line options now require a "=" before the parameter.
For example, --configdir=./blah

NOTE: For mac users: Support for 10.4 has been discontinued; using 10.6 is highly recommended as 10.5 does not support a sufficiently high OpenGL version for all types of GFX cards.

Main changes:
Host shouldn't crash if someone drops. VTOLs can fly over destroyed structures again. More GUI elements (such as scrolling/zooming) should be responsive during lag.

Known bugs:
On some machines/OS's, it scrolls up and to the right constantly. Picking up artifacts can cause a desynch. Moving the flag of a repair facility causes a desynch as soon as something is repaired.

Please submit all bugs via this link, and follow the directions listed at the link, we need every bit of that information in order to fix bugs!

Would it be possible to get some sort of linuxy patch that could be applied to the source code so that I wouldn't need to download the 145MB~ of latest master everytime? I have the master-20101129 installed at the moment.

Regards,
JDW...

Use git, then you have to download the ~500 MB repo once, and future updates are just a "git pull; git checkout master_20101201"?

No. The protocol is different — in the master builds, integers are encoded differently, and all net data is compressed — but that's the least of the incompatibilities.

Push out new release of master build. I believe major bugs has been fixed already.(camera movement & units broken pathfinding).
btw Had these desync logs any helpful in any way ? Should I create tickets for that in next time ?
