SVN is still mainstream, though it's always nice to learn new stuff.
Re: SVN is dead, long live git!
soo when i update my version instead of taking me to whatever SVN is it will take me to GIT? i think those who are programming the game should stick to that... no offense intended.
I'm not always on but when I am you know it.

Re: SVN is dead, long live git!
Is there any way to just get a tar.gz of the latest code without any client? you could do that with the svn repository by browsing it on sourceforge and clicking the "download gnu tarball" link but there doesn't appear to be a similar option for git.
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.

http://gitorious.org/warzone2100/mainli ... its/master has a "download master as tar.gz" link, you can select the other branches there as well.

Re: SVN is dead, long live git!
I have problems with git. It doesn't recognize the commands I give. Even "git help git" gives me an error.
Can anybody give me a working version for windows 7?
Please, help me.

EDIT: I already found the way to download the updated .po without using this... (If not strictly necessary, I won't use git for getting the updated .po files).

Not funny. I used ubuntu and debian on the past, but I really DON'T have the free space now to do a dual boot on my comp...j0shdrunk0nwar wrote:Sure --> http://www.ubuntu.com/ <---Saberuneko wrote:Can anybody give me a working version for windows 7?

Not viable.
Anyway, I can download the .po files without using git... So I don't need it now.
Re: SVN is dead, long live git!
I have the same problem on win7.Could you explain what you did? And don't give me the "Install Ubuntu".I don't have space to spare.skriticos wrote:I pulled the sources, installed the dependencies, ran ./configure (successfully) then make. It broke after the first few lines with "gcc: resource_lexer.lex.c: No such file or directory". Also there is some weird output from autorevision on the beginning. Attached log, any ideas?
Ah, yes. A "sudo apt-get install flex" did the trick. Thanks! Seems the configure script has some problems with the lexer. Maybe the AC_PROG_LEX part in the configure.ac needs some adjustment. Quick googling brought me to http://www.gnu.org/software/hello/manua ... grams.html , maybe that could be useful.
