Added a small (April fool hoax).
I think the most people won't notice the last line :)

BZFlag's Project lead's response to the idea:

[Sat Mar 31 2007] [18:37:13]   it's actually not a bad idea ;)

Ohh Guys!!!, well made April-Joke, ! ;)

But I was very schocked reading it, better said, I was really pissed :D

Thanks God, it's only a Joke :D

At this time, I want to say, u are making a great Job, keep it comming.
Your WZ-Ressurection-Project is one of the best in the Open-Source Community,
and WZ ist one of the best RTS games ever, even if it is so old :D

About the new Version:

I don't like the new fog, the fog distance is to short, causing builings and Units to flacker if zooming out.
It looks something weird.
Maybe you can set it optional, so user can choose, which kind of fog they want to use.

The new Skybox is great improvement :D

more to come ;)

well, you guys found my april fools joke :P. that aside, though, i didn't mean merging the codebases -- more like a conceptual merge, since from what i've seen from playing bzflag, most of the code is probably just architectural (gfx, sound, networking) while the game-logic is pretty short. it seems to me that a project merge ala wzflag would most quickly be accomplished with maybe one or two very small chunks of bzflag code, but most prominently with mods to the warzone source, and bzflag game logic coded in from scratch.

I'll say for an April fools joke it wasn't very funny.

You got me out of the grave!

.. But seriously, let me see if I understand things... any type of merger would be the beginning of an entirely new project and leave the true Warzone, alone?

Since I updated WZ to 2.0.6 I can't use the resolutions settings anymore. My  --viewport 1024x768 woun't work anymore!  :-\

It's --resolution [width]x[height] in 2.0.6 and future releases.
tasks postponed until the trunk is relatively stable again.
