2.3 beta 12a is released. (special build)
Because of the urgency in trying to find a way to replicate the cyborg legs bug, we have made a special build of warzone that has more logging information to help us track down the issue.
This build is 2.3 branch r10492, hereby known as 2.3 beta12a.
If you run into the issue (see pic), then please enter "legs" in the console, and have everyone do that command as well.
Then in your logs directory, upload and attach the files that the game produced to this ticket, ( http://developer.wz2100.net/ticket/1740 ) or this forum thread.
The files are of the format:
template_00-mapname_time.txt where 00 is player 0, 01 is player 1 and so on, and
templateAI-mapname_time.txt (this is the AI template file)
and finally, the most important file, netplay-date_time.log of the game. (date & time is the current date & time you played the game).
Thanks for your help in tracking down this bug!
Note: we also have added a way to keep people from bothering you once you kick them. They will NOT be able to rejoin once they are kicked.

I played a 8p game with 12a and legs happened. I uploaded the logs, but only one other player typed in "legs" ...

Buginator, the IP ban works, but it does not reset after the start of a new game. You must restart warzone for the ban to be lifted. I tested via kicking my friend, and he couldn't get back on when I re-hosted.
Here is the asswipe I was talking about before, I bet it is the same dude.

hi
dont know if this is the proper place ... i found a small bug
when playing campaign, new made constructions cost infinite power, occasional crashing the game
after researching this flame thrower thing (in the very beginning), tried to build a vehicle with flametower on top of it, yellow bar shows 100%, and when i try to build this thing it sucks all my power away.
first i thought it was because i used a cheat (more power) but i started again without the cheat - same problem occured. skirmish is ok, no problem here
using the 12a version on win7x64
right place? any ideas? more info? i'm not a pro, so feel free to ignore this

The AI:yes get weapons at line 0 then they don't get weapons at line 215, and the AI:no get weapons at line 51?

That looks like IPv6, but it only shows one person being banned, and they tried 10 times to connect back to the game?joins: 21, kicks: 2, drops: 0, left 22

Okay, in brief: each message only goes off once per player. So in the case of that log, all the human players do not add any weapons until line 51. AI gets the weapons added until line 215. What happens after those messages have fired off is all "???" but it these messages were useful for knowing where they start loading weapons.Crymson wrote:anyone care to give us some clues to what this stuff means?
