You could at least be a bit more specific.
themac wrote:"EDIT: original 1.10 balance mod is added to this release. hope a few old schooler will play it : ).
if not, then our (mainly my) work was for nothing."

I havenĀ“t seen a option to switch to the 1.10 balance mod in the Mac version. Can you explain how I can get it? :)
Open Terminal.

Type in the following command:

Code: Select all

/Applications/Warzone.app/Contents/MacOS/Warzone --mod original

So far so good.

Wish there was a better way to show the stats of the units and what upgrades can do.

What's wrong with the Guide?

I can not view the guide when I run game fullscreen.
Would be cool if you can put that in game somehow.

Alt+Tab works, unless you're running Mac OS X...

BTW, if you run Warzone in fullscreen on the Mac, it seems to be impossible to switch to the desktop. It would be a nice feature to be able to switch to the desktop and then back to the game running in fullscreen!

I know, that's why I said "unless you're running Mac OS X"

Go yell at Apple about this. :/

And/or the makers of SDL.

Actually, wasn't Per mostly done porting Warzone to Qt? That might work, too.

Alt-tabbing while playing a MP game? O_o

Serious? That would be AWESOME! Would kill two birds with one stone!
I just finished a post that talks about Qt! viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3939

I do not see any sort of Qt work in the repository though? O_o

It's not much worse than looking up detailed unit stats in the design/intelligence screen.

We'd just be using Qt for the windowing/rendering system. The widget toolkit would still be Betawidget. Warzone is a game; it can't use Qt for widgets. :/

I don't think he ever committed it.

There's a separate Git repo for it.

So the game is not Network-capable with older versions.

Big question of the day:

If I update my version to 2.2.4 from 2.2RC1, would my savegames break, requiring me to restart my campaign for the guide walkthrough?

(as the only change I see of note to the SP campaign that would change the guide as-is is the AA homing, I'm not sure it would make much difference in all but 2 stages, but...)
