I thought that the point is you don't need to be registered on the forum, but if the name is accidentally occupied on the forum, then the passwords should match (?)
how would that work?
I bet the reason they tie it to your forum account is so they know who you are

You don't need an account to download, you need an account to upload.
This is why some features aren't implemented: http://forums.wz2100.net/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7490&view=unread#p87241

antanas wrote:and what does that mean: Sorry, you need to be a active member in the community to use this site. ?
Since these are basically the same question, the answer is, we use your forum account to verify everything, and to make sure your not a spammer.
This also allows us to move the addon site to another location if need be.
The active member in the community means, we want people to discuss their addons first, in the appropriate section of the forums, or, just be a active member in the community. I think the reason for that is obvious, since we allow people to vote on things now.
No, this does not mean you are free to make dummy posts, those accounts that do that will be banned.

How would we know who the real person is, if we allowed them to use any alias ? This is another reason why we require forum credentials so we can verify that people are who they say they are, at least, according to when they first registered on the forums.

Can you post a screen shot on how it looks like with chrome ?
There isn't anything special going on there, just straight HTML code.

Works on my chrome.
Probably you're trying to vote on your own map, which, of course, won't work?

Can we allow 1-player map-mods option?
For challenge maps.

Is it ok to upload an in-game terrain screenshot instead of map preview for map-mods with custom textures?

Or maybe a single-player challenge should be classified as a mod? As it doesn't work from maps folder anyway (the challenge file doesn't get loaded).
