Woo Woo! Our own dak180 gets a shout-out on ESR's Armed & Dangerous blog for helping with some build tools:
http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=4674

Sure, it's more Fame than Fortune, but still...

And for those who do not know, Eric S. Raymond (esr) is one of the grey beards of the Open Source Software movement, responsible or involved in a whole bunch of things you have never heard of but are probably affected by.

autorevision was originally something I wrote for warzone but this incarnation is vastly more useful to the generic case of wanting version/revision info in a reliable format.

Can it be used to restore proper version number value to the JS API's "version" global?

autorevision just gives you values in a reliable format; you still need to do something with them, in this case at build time.

It sounds to me like the sort of thing that should have a ticket (if it does not already).

Way to go dak!

Thanks for writing the utility that made my want to throw my keyboard more than once. :P
Trying to compile warzone offline is no fun, autorevison fails and warzone won't compile, or at least it wouldn't when I last tried it a long time ago. :geek:

The state of being disconnected from the internet. So, like most people before the 1990s.

A bit of news on a team member might not seem much, but it's still kind of nice info. And it has it's uses.
News chaff and excuses for shoddy work everywhere else for example. :P
Besides. Googling 'dak180' nets you Warzone links rather fast. Someone's bound to have a click.
