Re: Repainted Jammer model
I like the AWACS dome idea. Makes no sense, but looks clear and distinct. And who knows what future tech looks like anyway?

Sorry for the downtime - we're back again!
We had a strange issue with our VM that stopped communicating with the outside world. Thanks a lot to pcdummy for helping us fix the issue!

Re: Repainted Jammer model
I had a look at the new ECM visual changes in-game (sorry for being so late - been really busy the last few weeks), and I really do not like them. The yellow turret looks really out of place, and the blur is hard to see. I agree that the blur I made originally was not all that visually appealing, bu...

Re: Repainted Jammer model
I don't quite like how it becomes yellow, no matter what your team colour is - I'm worried that might be confusing. Also, why yellow? Not sure that the radar detector turret is a good source of inspiration, colour-wise.
Haven't looked at the blurring change yet, will try to look at it soon.

Re: Oh where has my version-ity gone?
You can safely install multiple, non-portable instances with different minor version (ie 2.3, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 etc) side by side, but installing multiple instances of the game with the same minor version can lead to issues, and is therefore not recommended (but can still work).

You do realize that you are replying to a 9 year old thread? This is generally considered a bad thing to do.

Re: WZstring. QString replacement. Need community help.
I don't really like the idea of us using our own, proprietary string class. I think UTF-8 has won the unicode wars, and we use that everywhere for storage. QString uses UTF-16 for weird historical reasons, but that is a dead end. UTF > 8 means lots of unnecessary conversions, where we could just pas...

Re: Updating the models removing alpha
It is a current engine limitation. You can have shadows OR you can have alpha. (Yes, this is really stupid. We need to change the shadow drawing implementation. But I doubt that will happen before the forthcoming release.)

Change has been pushed. Now everyone please help proof-reading it, and someone please add support for it into the other build systems.

Re: Changing script documentation from LaTeX/PDF to Markdown
Thanks. Not sure if I see any difference in output from the empty newlines you added? https://github.com/perim/warzone2100/bl ... ripting.md But it doesn't hurt either, and readability looks better in the source, so I guess it is ok anyway.
