Re: Smart Power Management: How Do They Do It?
Molotov, this is more a problem with game balance, not a problem with your strategy. The technology's cost rises faster than its value. This is why usually you do better investing your power into many low-tech units instead of a few hi-tech ones. Because of this power output level was boosted in bet...

Re: ADDING OR MODDING THE TRANSPORT droid type!
Ah I miss that, coordinated drop was one of the nicest and maybe deadliest Aivolution features.lav_coyote25 wrote:this is the old aivolution mod with one of my old maps - as you can see the transports do actually work.

Re: I want to make the AI to produce more units, please help!
The trivial way is to let AI cheat more, by dragging the difficulty slider in the skirmish lobby screen all the way to the right. If that is not enough then, as coyote already pointed out, you will have to learn how to script, take a look at the doc folder of the source, there's a scripting manual i...

Re: AIvolution questions
Not sure here, but I think Troman did work on the AI-stuff and changed things so he could do what he wanted with Aivolution. That's why I think that it does not work with 2.0.x. Nice explaination... Anyway, to clarify it: Molotov, theoretically it does work with earlier Warzone versions, but you wi...

Re: Experimental AI
I will have to look at your natural language procecessing, how are you using it? My current Warzone AI - Aivolution - is capable of recognizing some commands (like "attack bob", "help me" etc) that can be given either by humans or other AIs. I use flex and bison for processing. ...

Re: Experimental AI
ilTallman, it seems we have similar interests and ideas concerning AI. I'm also using WZ engine as a platform for experiements with AI, while at the same time trying to keep it competetive and fun to play with for the game fans. Though I got carried away by another project at the moment and taking a...

Re: Experimental AI
2) Is there anybody I can get on board with this, I would be looking for programmer/designers to help integrate the AI engine into this platform. If anybody is interested in assisting, let me know. I'm familiar with Warzone AI and its inner working, but I can't tell if i'm up for a project as long ...

Re: Russian translation
Thanks, looks good.
I have one question though. Looks like some translations were removed, like "Player", "savegame", "System locale" etc. Was that intended?

Re: Repair unit scanning + Q's
Ok sorry if this has been suggested or i've missed it, but apparently in 2.1 beta 2, units scan for the best target as stated in the ChangeLog , so machine gun units looks prioritises cyborgs etc? Yes, that's how it works. A unit scans through its possbile targets computing target's value, based on...

Re: Gfx help needed
what's the purpose of vectorized icons? We are currently in a process of rewriting GUI system and it will be scalable, so having icons in vector format would be theoretically a good idea. do you want to have all the icons vectorized so you can adjust them to screen size? Yes, eventually we want som...

Re: Gfx help needed
Awesome! Thanks :) i've done three variants, i'd prefer the third To be honest, I like first and second one, even though the first one uses red, which isn't used for buttons in wz, I still like it. I think it would be ideal for the ready button and the second one can be used for general check boxes...
