Re: Mag-lev/Anti-gravity hover propulsion.
This looks really nice... good work :) One thing which bugs me is: If you could (theoretically) increase the anti-gravitational force of these tanks (through new propulsion upgrades) to the point where they could hover up to 100+ meters in the air (like the cars in "5th element"), wouldn't...

Re: Fewer production upgrades [NEW POLL]
I agree with the whole philosophy behind Zarel's changes, and if there is no way to make these techs not be pointless, I'm for removing them. I don't think that production speed research is pointless in any way, and I bet that some players will be also researching these things regardless of their &...

Re: And some more rebalancing
...I don't think he took them in that way, either. I appreciate the concern, but I think things are fine. True, I didn't take them any "wrong way" :) That's exactly what I'm doing. By decreasing the number of upgrades, I can increase the effect of each upgrade, thus making them more of a ...

Re: And some more rebalancing
What "direction"? All I'm doing is asking for feedback on an idea. Is that suddenly a bad thing? It's not like I'm going to do it if so many people are against it. Ok, ok... I'm just giving you my feedback on the idea ;) What i meant with "direction" is my fear that if i stop pl...

Re: And some more rebalancing
As promised... I'm right now somewhat dissapointed with the direction this project is going :-S Here's my post that I have prepared earlier, sorry that it's so long. I just can't agree with everything that's going on with Warzone 2100 these days... 1st you wanted to get rid of structural requirement...

Re: And some more rebalancing
Zarel: "The Rebalance mod is official WRP for 2.2 and beyond." Can you please explain this to me? Does this mean that when 2.2 with videos comes out, this mod's implementations will be "merged" in to the core game 2.2 and any further updates? I hope not, but if yes, then I'll wri...

Re: Sound bug , not fixed
If you have sound issues, then you can update the drivers, try a newer openAL driver from Creative, or try openAL soft from here: http://kcat.strangesoft.net/openal.html#download Download the binary, and stick the .dll at the same location as warzone2100.exe is! Do *NOT* replace the one in your sys...

Re: Sound bug , not fixed
UPDATE: everyone please disregard the ticket i made in TRAC. I solved my problem: I needed to exchange the normal 1.1 openAL driver with the 1.7 openAL soft driver - problem is solved. Sorry for the hasty report, next time I'll try to be more patient :-S

Re: Tech tree in chart form!
Holy crap, thanks for this! I'll make a poster of it and hang it over my pc :D Seriously, this will help a lot with construction & research decisions... If anyone ever asks you what's so special about Warzone, just point them to this page. ;) Agreed :D I just wanna see the looks on the faces of ...

Re: Still Here and Still Lovin WZ: Res
There is one question I've had since the beginning. Specifically, is The Project a remnant of American or English forces? American. In the intro movie the male voice (of one of the survivers and later project founders) says "we fled Seattle early in 86", so the Projects origin comes from ...

Re: HELP NEEDED!!!
One of the keys to your sucess in single player campaign mode is resource & time "milking" - this means, that on your 1st mission (one of the very few ones without a time limit) you have to wait about 30 min or more so that your power accumulates over 1000 pts; in every next mission do...

Re: Sound bug , not fixed
Ok guys, this is probably more serious than i thought: i just ran the tutorial and fast game a few times and they all crashed after a certain amount of time, around 5 min or so... i hope it is just on my machine though, but i think i should make a bug ticket anyway :( I also tried running the game p...

Re: Are you translating warzone to your language?
Yay, i did it! xD :D :3 The slovenian translation is 100% finished  I updated it with the latest file from the trunk; i'll keep an eye out for any further updates, but for now i think it will do - also good timing for the inclusion with the next movie release ;) Now a bit of additional info fo...

Re: Sound bug , not fixed
Ok, bad news: even though i have put a brand new genius sound card with the latest drivers in to my machine, the crackling still stays, haven't tried it out for any possible crashes yet (i'll let you know when i do). Also no change without AL libraries, like before... I don't know my last (crappy) s...

Re: Sound bug , not fixed
Guess what? I exchanged my computer 3 days ago for a stronger one, BUT this new one has only an integrated soundcard on the motherboard (for now), which brings me to the (basicly) same problem as DarkCheetah's, only that mine is a bit worse: The sound crackles from the instant i enter the game and d...
