Ummm... no. That's sonar. More like a laserish sound that pulses constantly. Do you know what I mean? I'm having a hard time describing it adequately.

Waypoints already exist. Shift click(I think) to set waypoints. Check the guide. Also, more complex order mechanisms will have to wait until the UI is upgraded.

I like the idea. Also, I wasn't thinking flying VTOL pad. I was thinking a systems turret, which no VTOL can have.

Not quite true. The Twin MG turret is used in the campaign. Otherwise, you are right.
