I support the idea of a research option but only in skirmish. For some reason, I seem to dislike the thought of the host restarting games in multiplayer, probably due to the fact that the host could probably restart the game every time when the game doesn't go his way. I understand perfectly what you mean, and really I think it is not a case of adding a new shortcut it is more of removing trucks from propulsion shortcuts so that the select all hovers shortcut (etc) would now exclude trucks.

One of the best, I was playing this last night and it is awesome - has some features so it is not so bland and flat, yet it also retains open spaces for good mass battles. Those raised circles are a great new addition also.

I have been having trouble finding enough players for anything over 2v2 soooooo I was wondering if you would care to put your hand to some 2v2 NTW type maps in the flavor of R_exysNTWOmega - love this map with enclosed area in the middle!

I agree, maybe needs some system like with cyborgs. Maybe just remove trucks from the propulsion selection because they have their own shortcut anyway. The only way I can see propulsion shortcuts useful for trucks is if you have like some kind of divisions set up with all their support, like a heavy...

This is a griefers paradise - in MP you get them sometimes walling in your factories like this...frustrating, but even then if there is a griefer on your team they can find enough other ways to cause grief without walling in your factories.

Fully Agree, a really slick UI system can open the doors to all kinds of things (including the OP mentioned research queue).
