Re: Map Selection Screen Makeover
I like all the suggestions here. One negative I've found from removing "T1,etc" from the map name is only the host knows for sure what tech level the game will be. I've noticed the list is in alphabetical order, but letter case is not ignored. Map names that start with a lower case letter ...

come again? Plain English with complete thought. effigy, That should have been done as homework. And you cheated. :lol2: Frankly, I more often than not don't get what RV says, but I do look up the words to interpret his cryptic communication better. lol, I did need to look up a few words...i...

Re: 2.3.2 has been released!
. I see 2 fine posts submitted while writing my response. I'll let my response stand though I'm tempted to speak to the "plain English with complete thought" reference - but won't. ;) Nor is it necessary. I assume that came across as trollish, but that wasn't my intent. . ... Hmmm. admitt...

Plain English with complete thought. :) I agree, a dedicated thread for all active members to support there map(s) of choice would be nic...

. ... After all, it's well documented that parochial or insular hegemony breeds, at best, a conforming mediocrity along with generous dollops of inequity aversion by those most able to actively advance the cause on many fronts well into the future who would not be herded like a flock of sheep. - RV...

Dylan's July 2010 balance audit
Here's the latest balance proposal from our exiled Dylan: I. Present Issues a. Anti-tank Many anti-tank upgrades are marginalized by their expense in tandem with the fact that more powerful replacements are available which do not benefit from upgrades to existing weaponry. Other than the tank-killer...

Re: 2c-MtnValleyBat
That's fine as I said I can see that it was well thought out (note: I haven't read the dev thread).
Ratings of "3" are suppose to indicate in average map. I was happy to rate this one above that

Re: flaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
I'd like to get flaMe to open maps when I double click map files in Windows. So far, I can get flaMe to open when I double click a map file, but I still have to use the File menu to locate it on my hard drive. Anyone know how I can accomplish this (feature request?)? Also, being able to drag-and-dro...

...a mere coincidence. Maps such as these take much thought and consideration for a proper review.

Re: Showing how much something costs
I voted for -62 but either is better than the current system. I agree when you're engaged in battle it's annoying to calculate this mentally. Additionally, I think it would be nice if the $ amount of whatever it is was became a tooltip over the menu item like in the design menu. Emphasis on "li...

Re: Challenge: Back to Basics
Greetings. I've been trying to get a video of this challenge in under 10 minutes so our good sir Daltx could post it on his YouTube channel. My first attempt was over 30 minutes. I've probably completed it 20 times since and finally I've achieved: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1460920/wz/wz2100_main_shot_...
