Minimap colors are unfortunately still hardcoded.
(also, the flashColours array looks kinda curious, hint hint, wink wink)

Re: Modding WZ with .7z instead of .zip
The less stuff we support, the less stuff breaks. I don't think 7zip is such a huge improvement. For small mods you don't care, while heavy mods are mostly composed of images that can't be compressed further.

Re: Colours.
Yellow, White, Black are reserved for enemy factions, which is, i believe, a good thing, because their style is definitely an important part of the story. Cyan, Pink are normally used for scavengers, but scavengers don't have team colors on the screen, so it shouldn't matter. I don't think this list...

It shouldn't matter when you do it as long as you do it in the exact same moment of game time on all machines. And rules.js is supposed to be run synchronously on all machines.Berserk Cyborg wrote:I grant the T2/T3 research in eventGameInit.

Re: Why is warzone now such a s*t?
I don't think master is really bad at all. I do know there are a few annoying bugs that have cropped up, but 99% are not game-breaking. That's usually what we believe before every release. Then suddenly it turns out that nothing works. But this one is in fact different because in the campaign testi...

Re: Linux user vs Windows user
Just to be clear: you need exact same version number of the game (eg. 3.2.3 or 3.1.5) on both machines, but cross-platform multiplayer *is* fully supported: you *can* play multiplayer matches between native builds for two different OSes as long as version numbers match.

Re: Radar Jammers don't work against AI
Yep, all current AIs work with visibility cheating. It requires additional effort to make sure they don't, and for default in-game AIs nobody has done this work. There are no other cheats that they are doing though, unless they're on INSANE difficulty, but nobody cared about the visibility aspect be...

No. Balance has never been the same in campaign and multiplayer, completely separate sets of stats are used.AndrewTheOnly wrote:I was wondering, do these changes that are happening in campaign, like balance changes, new structures, etc... will also apply to multiplayer?

Re: Balancing Balance
95%+ of all multiplayer games currently use the high power setting and the low power setting is rarely used. This means the range of available power settings needs to be shifted. Dunno, people would just play NTW with more power. Also it doesn't fix the desire to play flat maps (such desire exists ...

Re: Nexus AI Script Conversion
I guess the purpose is to kinda preserve the original game's skirmish experience for those who think it's a big deal (there always are some).

Re: Nexus AI Script Conversion
If i was to work on that, i'd reimplement the necessary wzscript API in JS and then do a line-by-line translation. That's probably the easiest and safest way to preserve the legacy when we believe that the legacy is good enough as-is and we aren't planning to fix it. The one exception is if I find i...

Re: [AI] "BoneCrusher! 2" bot player for 3.1.5 and 3.2+
Yeah, that's an annoying thing to implement; you need to avoid research and war droid production until you have a reasonable supply of power. I played T3 turtling games a lot back when i was a noob, and i suspect there are more people like me. So i guess it's not worth it to spend too much time comi...
