Re: Vote on the new textures!

Maybe this info could help :hmm: https://projects.coin-or.org/BuildTools/wiki/user-configure http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/html_node/Configuration.html Good find but none of those does it :( Making sure the trunk builds end up in /opt/wz2...

Re: Vote on the new textures!

Can someone point me to information on building .deb packages? If so, I could give it a shot building for Ubuntu 10.04 (installing to /opt/) :) <snip> Good luck :) Woah, I had no idea building debian packages was that much of a challenge. Not giving up, but I can't for the love of life figure out h...

Re: What this game needs to be GREAT!

as someone stated earlier, i would love it if the interface could be larger relative to screen size, i've been playing wz in 1680x1050 lately and the notification text is almost squint worthy to even read, and the bottom left box is very small aswell. :D You are in luck my friend, for only $49.99 I...

Re: What this game needs to be GREAT!

Here are my $0.05 on the LAN functionality :) TechWiz is correct, mDNS (aka bonjour, avahi) could be used to provide a local network lobby. This would be a great addition for LAN parties etc. This way the LAN game setup could be replaced with a lobby that performs a mDNS query to find game hosts on ...

Re: What does your Dream Missile look like?

Isn't it :D Imagine researching the warheads, from just blasting flak over an area (doing little damage to many), to the tactical multi-warheads (doing mucho damage to many), all the way up to a nuke. I mean, the nuke doesn't have to be any bigger a boom than the satellite laser :)

Re: What does your Dream Missile look like?

Perhaps kinda off topic, but what about an actual missile silo?

It could have a slow rate of fire but every missile is equipped with several warheads. Like a gigantic explosive buckshot from above :D Firing your missiles could be done in the same way as the laser satellite.

Re: warzone logo

Or are you looking for some logo material? Best I've found personally is the Linux PNG logo of 128x128 pixels. Don't know of any higher resolution logos that are available. This is the hi-res logo: http://developer.wz2100.net/browser/trunk/icons/warzone2100logo.png Thank you! That is gonna do well ...

Re: warzone logo

Wow. Vague question eh :p How do you get any other images on there? Why can't you take an image of the logo and put it on like you normally do? Or are you looking for some logo material? Re: HTML UI

Well, I think HTML and CSS is a better idea because their styling possibilites are endless! Then the game could place in some stuff into elements. It would be endless when it comes to changing the colors of your text or drawing a background. They would be less endless when it comes to everything el...

Re: HTML UI

This is a really good idea :) Tho why stick with HTML and CSS? As Lua support is being added, I think a closer and more easily realizable alternative would be to take the "WoW approach" and implement a simple XML-based interface using Lua for scripting. Both ideas would render the same res...

Re: Traps and Waterfalls

I must say the entire mine idea is interesting as it might make you think twice before rushing another player 5 minutes into the game. Just finished a 6 hour AI skirmish, so personally I'm a fan of longer "deeper" games -- perhaps not 6 hours, but definitely more than 5 minutes. Being able...

Re: Translation announcements / coordination

Not that I would ever use it myself (I prefer English over all), but I could have a go at translating into Swedish, my native tongue :)

Anything I should keep in mind? :)
