Re: Models by MaNGusT (AR)

no idea what that green thing on the back ever was.. I'm liking the better design, retains old style but nicer finish all round. You going through all the bodies? perhaps separate threads for the various categories i.e. Body models, weapon models etc..

Re: Dtrace on Warzone

From casting my eyes on this memset is a bit further up and some other interesting info uncovered. Note this drastically slowed application, on stopping process crashed. Taken during 4 player ffa, 3 Nexus AI's on medium. Did few basic tasks in game. # dtrace -n 'pid$target:::entry { @[probefunc] = c...

Re: Dtrace on Warzone

Based on what I've read on this forum post viewtopic.php?f=32&t=11978&start=15 next task to review memset reported as an issue to do with vsync enabled. More precise details required without hindering application\adding overhead.

Re: Dtrace on Warzone

Warzone memory requested sizes (bytes) from malloc, printed out into a Distribution graph using ASCI format. # dtrace -n 'pid$target::malloc:entry { @ = quantize(arg0); }' -p 57036 dtrace: description 'pid$target::malloc:entry ' matched 1 probe ^C value ------------- Distribution ------------- count...

Dtrace on Warzone

Learning to use Dtrace, thought it would be bit more interesting to do on this application. Creating this for tracking own progress, and if anything I find can be of assistance to developers\programmers. From my understanding Dtrace is the most effective way to gain insight into what applications re...

Re: [Ubuntu] Vehicle bugs

"I downloaded this wonderful game trough Ubuntu Software Centre ( warzone2100 2.3.8-1ubuntu1 )."

so the version you're using is 2.3.8? I think you should download the latest 3.1.2.

mission 3 the first away mission, building units at the LZ I'm guessing? Never even thought of that..

Re: FreeBSD version 3.1.2

I had the package maintainer update and then I installed from ports. It's fantastic, just works so well and the new fonts looks ace!

played Online no issues either. Curious why don't many of the good maps get added in?

I'm going to attempt using Dtrace on this...

Re: FreeBSD version 3.1.2

Sorry, meant 3.1.2

okay I'll keep an eye on the status of 3.1.2 prior to engaging package maintainers .

I can try that again later on, last time was around 3am I think..

FreeBSD version 3.1.2

Hey, I attempted getting Warzone 3.1.2 on freeBSD, I'm on the latest release fully patched but it seems the latest version in ports is still 3.1. Can this be updated please? I also tried downloading the tar file for 3.1.2 but the mirrors didn't seem to work. Reaches down to 0 seconds on the countdow...

Re: Medium cannon bypass..

"Also this suggest to not research the factory modules ?" you can still get it, just you have greater flex-ability with tech upgrade paths and later game you'd have no reason to research the M cannon if you've already got hvc or choose to avoid the M cannon, that being said I suppose you'd also cons...

Medium cannon bypass..

When playing online and doing specific research paths the hyper velocity cannon replaces the medium cannon. With the existing tech tree this allows you to bypass the medium cannon altogether and go straight for the hyper v cannon.. See hyper v cannon - http://betaguide.wz2100.net/Research.php?tree=1...

Re: maps by NoQ

Played a bit of toxic map, its decent and simple. I've played a fair amount of games on it and they've never gone into T2. Mind you highly aggressive style is my thing. The games are short due to the small map and contesting oil derrikz. Other players do cyborg and MG rushes 99% of the time. I stuck...
