Re: I hate mods. Especially map-mods.

than the imaginary problem of people liking mods (they dont). Then it should be easy for them to stop hosting the damn things. ;^) I wish NTW wasn't as popular as it is, but I can live with it. NTW can be fun too, it just takes a bit of adaptation. I've seen many low oil players fall flat on their ...

Tech tree recovered.

I'm sure people have been using the wayback machine to find the tech tree since the site was hacked, but I downloaded the background PNG image and I've posted it here. It includes the complete tech tree. It's a little out of date, for example 3.1.1 makes flashlight require sensor mk2 rather than mk3...

Re: Corrupt-A-Wish

Wish granted! You ask me for a copy of my i586 XFCE distro, and spend the rest of your days painfully compiling enormous packages from source because there is no package manager whatsoever and virtually no support. I wish I could just nut up and deal with my problems and responsibilities in a good, ...

Re: Reinventing the wheel?

I like a simple IDE like Geany, nothing big and fancy. I just like having it autocomplete my own function names to save me typing, color coding ,etc. The built in terminal is nice too. I agree with Linus when it comes to kernels, some drivers should always be inside the kernel binary. I like a hybri...

Re: Don't reinvent the wheel!

@AWarZoner: No. It's a function that happens to return a pointer to another function that would return a pointer to void. Void is somewhat useless (or illegal as a pointer) in C++, I can't recall. Quite useful in C however. Since it's syntactically valid in both languages, it made a fine example in ...
