Re: Ecological niche for light bodies

And it's unrealistic. Not really, if we make the difference just one square for each body. Keep the current system for heavy, medium can stay out of range an extra 1 square, and light an extra 2 squares. Super Heavy is easier to see so it's inverse 1 square; you'll see it sooner than other vehicles.

Re: Ecological niche for light bodies

I think this is a brilliant idea.

It would make light bodies perfect as scouts.

Re: Modifications to defensive building models needed

I should reiterate that walls over uneven ground would look out of line...

...I mean is there going to be a "default level" for the underground part? Is it going to be relative to how high up you are, as in there's pre-set "levels that correspond to different areas of a slope?

Eh...I don't care much for the idea, honestly. Seems...gimmicky for lack of a better term.

Zarel wrote: The other problem is that Base Buster would supersede the niche I made for Seraph Missile.
It can still be used in fast attacks against vehicles fairly well, and fire over vehicles and defenses to strike specific targets with the reaction time of a direct fire weapon.

Re: Modifications to defensive building models needed

We're not talking about fluff, we're talking about that being hard to implement programmatically. I was speaking of how things already are...and why added fluff (which is already implied by the "beaming" building technology) should negate any issue someone has with deformed defenses that "mold" to ...

Re: Bunker Buster & Base Buster

I recall 1.12 had a T3 bunker buster, forgot what it was called.

Wouldn't hurt to add a T3 bunker buster to WZ Resurrection.

Re: Modifications to defensive building models needed

Two things: 1. Walls would look ugly like this, they wouldn't connect in a line if they didn't deform to the terrain. It would look horrid. 2. Looks aside, seeing as how buildings are built apparently by "beaming" materials to the location of the site and I guess building it up atom by atom using so...

Re: Shotgun turret

How effective and practical would a shotgun be in vehicle/cyborg warfare? Could you even call it a shotgun, technically? Shotgun doesn't mean a gun that fires buckshot, it means a smooth-bore two-handed firearm with a relatively large shell, it's just that they commonly are used to fire buckshot. Ac...

Re: Hardened Radar Detector tower

Zarel, at some point I believe the hardened tower upgrade should be there for the (heavy) machine gun tower, then eventually it should be replaced with a hardened assault gun tower.

I mean even late game you still have this frail HMG tower.

Re: Radar detector?

I've also noticed an issue with the Wide Spectrum sensor mounted on mobile units. If you use a wide spectrum sensor to lead an artillery force, and it comes under attack from artillery and you move it out of the way, it'll keep changing course and going back to designate the enemy artillery due to t...

Re: I don't like the new velocity changes

I think if anything we should make the speeds reflect realism, at least relatively.

Lasers should go the fastest (blinding speed in my view), rail guns second to them.

The changes to the machine guns and such are okay as of now from what I've seen.

Re: Radar detector?

Slightly off topic...

I actually have to be honest.

I think the Wide Spectrum Sensor detracts from the game.

I mean to explain it as best I can, might as well combine an all-rounder an an AP gun...

I think having an all-in-one tower just...detracts is all.

No.

Making it the only sensor not outdated by it.
