Re: Trouble building with bash on windows

configure also complains about missing sdl 2, but "make sdl2" in mxe fixes the issue. Otherwise the script works. Make fails however because of header not found : QtCore/QJsonParseError I think the Ubuntu version shipped with bash on Windows is too old for the instructions (it uses Ubuntu Trusty 14....

Re: Trouble building with bash on windows

It looks like QtWidgets (requested by PKG_CHECK_MODULES(QT5, Qt5Core Qt5Gui Qt5Widgets Qt5Script,,[:]) ) is not available with the given instructions.
And Qt5Core is QtCore, Qt5Gui is QtGui and so on.

Trouble building with bash on windows

I followed the instruction here http://developer.wz2100.net/wiki/CompileGuideWindows/Cross to build wz2100 using bash on Windows (which ships a basic Ubuntu system file). Building mxe works (although it takes a lot of time) however I can't get the configure script to work. It complains about missing...

Re: Flowfield pathfinding algorithm ?

By the way looking at the code is the threading really improving performance ? Apparently the critical section includes a call to fpathExecute (in fpathThreadFunc). fpathRoute which is used to retrieve the result from the main thread or submit job request a lock on fpathmutex. This means that the ma...

Flowfield pathfinding algorithm ?

As far as I can tell Warzone pathfinding is using the A Star algorithm to plan unit movement. However they're often stuck since A Star doesn't take others unit into account. Most RTS have been facing similar issues and a couple of them came with some solutions. For instance Starcraft 2 uses flocking...

Re: WZ crashes on multiple devices

Actually debug Tools don't help with crash, they often use classic GL introspection functions so that they will provide the same reports as arb debug output. Tools from IHV only give access to the performance counters of their hardware while frame capture is vendor agnostic as far as I know. On the ...

Submitted this patch http://developer.wz2100.net/attachment/ticket/4488/ It changes a smaller amount of code (and doesn't rely on the previous one)

Re: WZ crashes on multiple devices

In my experience sticking to function not deprecated in core context with GL 3.1 is a good way to avoid issue with Intel drivers on Windows. Not necessarily using 3.0 or 3.1 features, rather using #version 130 in glsl shaders without built in vertex attrib (like glNormalPointer) or uniforms (gl_Mode...

Re: WZ crashes on multiple devices

Can confirm it crashes on Intel igpu. Unfortunatly Intel OpenGL drivers doesn't support fixed functions very well (and mixing fixed function and shaders is even worse) ; however they correctly support core context, they're even able to run the latest Doom game which relies on GL 4.3.

No link to nightlies ?

It looks like the website doesn't provide link to the Windows nightlies. The download button links to the sourceforge page ; in my opinion there should be another page that présents several link, one for latest stable release, one per previous release, and links to the let's say 10 latest nightlies....
