Re: What could be done about cheating hosts?
As i said over 9000 times, do not play with anonymous people , cause it is suffering. Make friends, eg. on the IRC channel mentioned on the front page, and play with them. Maybe you will play much less often, but that'd actually be good games rather than a waste of time. Thats a bit of a cop out im...

What could be done about cheating hosts?
We have all been there... Sometimes they put ghost players on other teams to unbalance the games (could identical IPs for multiple players have a warning?), sometimes they disrupt communications so other players time out and drop game (tough one to deal with, fortunately probably very rare), sometim...

Re: Kicking Noobs ok?
The derrick cap is too high. The cost of derricks isn't being introduced because of this. A lot of what you said there isn't true. I've stated it before, if you are hosting, show basic respect to those who join. I'm talking about abuse of this feature. Oh, and another thing, most successful online ...

Re: Replace quitter with AI
I think the solution could be something along these lines: Increase structure and unit cap and absorb quitter or crashed players units and structures, maintaining the overall balance. Let team do what it can with less players but same resources. Simpler, more elegant solution to an inevitable proble...

Re: Kicking Noobs ok?
Per: the size of the community dwindles when moderation is heavy handed. I've been online for more than 15 years and seen it happen quite a few times. Yes, spammers and insulting abusive people need to be banned, but set the net two tight and people will start going away. Warzone deserves a big onli...

Re: Kicking Noobs ok?
You may not like the idea but it's because of the manner in which some hosts kick players, kicking known players who play well and aren't abusive isn't a good thing. A couple of players have been banned for similar reasons in the past - if you are hosting just be respectful of players who enter you...

Re: Kicking Noobs ok?
The AI in its current (3.1) iterations is not an accurate representation of the varied playstyles and speeds of online players, but its a start, yes. If the AI follows the same power resources and makes unit and weopons choice based on them it will start to mimic players in a more believeable manner...

Re: Kicking Noobs ok?
I think we need a ladder system, like in Starcraft 2, so that we can automatically match up players and balance teams according to skill. However, I have a feeling (which I cannot properly elucidate) that there is something in the balance, too, that makes this hostility to noobs on the team a much ...

Re: Kicking Noobs ok?
But they are being told emphatically because they just joined what in effect is a miniture war. If you play vrs some of the names on this thread you don't have time to open school. This very reason is why noobs get kicked when there are 7 or 8 experienced players in a game room. That slot is the dif...

Re: Kicking Noobs ok?
And lets not forget the many times a noob will join a game, see he is totally outmatched and just leave, leaving the more advanced players dead in the water. It's a right of passage thing, if someone wants to play warzone online they have to learn basic game mechanics and get some speed. This won't ...

Hello and features request:
Hello, long time warzone player, noob forum user. Just to give a little bit of feedback and request a few features for future versions of warzone. Don't worry, I will be rational: 1) Build, Research, Briefing, Production and Commander menus need to be scalable as per the minimap (mouse wheel). This ...
