If anything, a special "Boss Body" with... let's say 6 turret slots (I'm aware the Three Guns Only rule was fairly recently broke) armed with 3 Groundshakers and 3 Whirlwinds might make for a reasonable boss fight, but I could only see it in a Point Defense sort of game mode where it's SUP...

This reminds me of the "union" hulls I had in mind. High cost, low armor and speed, but could mount 2 or 3 weapons depending on the hull. Also, keep in mind, Warzone 2100 means you can mount three cannons or artillery guns on a platform too, and their health stacks on top of each other. So...

That seems simple enough at least from my perspective - just have it take the knowledge that goes into the file as the game happens, but only create the file after the game has concluded.

Additionally, isn't this idea just effectively Aircraft-mounted Scanners? Until the Uplink exists, I could see "scout planes" equipped with no weapons otherwise but having a scanner on them having a fair amount of use to scout ahead for your units.

That would make a massive mess. At best, I could see an argument for building movement-restricting trenches about "one tank" deep that you could build ramps down into, but nothing further.

Not really any need for it. More than one resource muddies balance, and things like "immune to fire" renders upgrades needless (there's a research line of Termal armors that make units and structures more resistant to flame), AND renders flamethrowers/Incendiary artillery and bombs worthle...

Towers: Eh, I could see it, but it wouldn't offer anything that just building an MG tower of your own wouldn't accomplish (indeed, as it stands right now, the MG tower has a better gun than Scavenger towers.) Huts and houses: This would offer nothing new. Perhaps "loot" them for resources ...

Well, why not an APC "turret" or body that can hold 5 units but they can't shoot out of it? There's already the Cyborg Transport and supertransport, so I imagine the basic coding would be there already to making a Cyborg APC.
