Re: Multi-planar combat in skirmish

I think if you used zamaszysty's method you would definitely require very low power maps, because of structure caps, as well as the overall unit cap that occurs (there is a maximum total number of units that everyone can have on a specific map). It's a good solution, though, and probably better beca...

Re: Unlimited resources (hi-power)....

To be honest the lack of resources in low resource matches gives a depth of real tactical thought to the game. It really brings out how well people can think about the risks and rewards of what they're doing. In my personal opinion, if someone is good at the low-resource matches, they should definit...

Re: I started playing this game again recently

Aside from the fact that I haven't played multiplayer in anything other than a private game (oops) in a while, I dunno why you wouldn't see commanders. They seem to be the best way to maintain unit experience, as well as to manage large forces quickly and effectively, as well as maintaining constant...

Re: New unit for scavengers

The neural synapse technology is a computer interface built into one of the vertebrae in the neck of the pilots. It allowed whoever got the implant to use an exosuit as if it was a part of their own body. Hence the term 'Cyborg' used in game. The animation in the Alpha campaign when you get the neur...

Re: I started playing this game again recently

I use commanders pretty religiously in multiplayer, as they effectively nerf enemy artillery fire (especially rocket artillery like the archangel missiles).

Also towers = defensive structures, I'm assuming

Re: Multi-planar combat in skirmish

I was just thinking about this the other day, I think it'd be a really cool idea. I was thinking of an actual method on how to do this (if wz follows the client-server model): each 'map' could be a seperate server, each with their local data on what's going on, and when someone departs one server in...

Re: New unit for scavengers

Correct me if I'm wrong but all units are unmanned droids... Also, this is basically the same as the nexus turret. I'm pretty sure you're wrong. Cyborgs, for example, are people in powered suits (this bit of information is taken from the alpha campaign). Also I'm pretty sure the campaign makes refe...

I started playing this game again recently

The game is awesome, don't listen to the people who tell you differently. but on side-notes I have some questions (hence coming to the forums) In the to-do list for future features I saw that buildings are going to be designed like vehicles, would this be literal (as in you have to design your facto...
