Hi sorry, i don't come here often. The balance I made officially, i think, was for 2.3.8 .
you can try the NRS+ mod for 2.3.9 with tons of new content that the offical release dont have if you want.

Solar panels, parks, burning lasers, condor missiles, speed labs and much more all balanced nicely.

I'm late in this post, but ai.cpp or combat.cpp (or i dont remember) do all that already. Albeit it was not perfect, when i read this bit of code i was impressed on the amount of stuff taken into account to pick a target. I think we had a bug, and maybe even have is still where the AI was so strong ...

In effect, it's the exact same as increasing the power produced by the power gen. So there is no need for that :)

I'm in favor of cheaper late game items like the lizard body and a viable balance of the light bodies in general.

Oh... and who is the game designer in charge ? Fairly obvious who did the changes, it shows in the commit message. because remember, accuracy wasn't whatever % that the weapon had before, either. It was dependent on whatever stood next to it, hitbox sizes and splash damage radius. And I had the patch for that. Well you turned the accuracy at 100%. It's pretty much like removing it. And you intentionally left the accuracy bug there, so even if someone else was trying to use it in a mod, it would be buggus. Wait, I know there is 3 things. 1 is movement speed, the second is about damage reduction and the third is about damage increase. One of those 2 last is about accuracy. Maybe accuracy raduction and rate of fire ? You make me doubt now.

The ratio is 7%, 6% and 6% per level respectively

The accuracy was left behind in master, so the units don't increase their damage with levels any more. As far as I know.
