soo I tried doing the same thing, made several versions of a single video with a different ai model, AA, denoise, deblock, and stuff. but it still gets me that I'd prefer the remakes instead.

you push it to your github master Vinc?, i'd like to test it too.
i used vulkan with dota 2 although from my experience with it, when i jump from one place to another by clicking map my fps drops 60 -> 20 or even lower. and spike like that are bad for strategy game.

That pretty much sums it up. And I would guess that "the time to do it" is an unfeasibly large value for someone not working on this full-time. +1 Unreal does not work with GPL Torque3D does not support mac anymore Unity said to be MIT and should be working fine with GPL according to this...

it pique my interest what is reason we hardly change engine. from what i could remember from old post it goes with:
- GPL compatibility
- cross-platform
- can run CSS/JS for easy HUD / menu scripting
- someone had time to do it
what am I missing?.

can current engine limit framerate?. something like
if it was in front end menu and user alt tab / loss focus then limit it to 1.
this could also go if user paused while playing campaign then alt tab. i saw some other game does limiting frame rate while alt tab to reduce cpu usage
