Hardpoints can shoot through towers but towers cannot shoot through hardpoints :) Structures used to have a stat dictating whether or not their weapons could shoot over/through walls (for towers and hardpoints = on, bunkers and emplacements = off). Define "animation" -- texture flag 0x4000, for one, has always been supported. And yes, the whole idea behind Pie Slicer was (and still is) a tool for directly load/edit/saving PIE files. As for the file formats themselves, obviously it needs to be upped to the current (3.x compatible) PIE...

In 3.1 RC artillery emplacements will target anything inside your known total sensor coverage whether you designate it as a target or not, and regardless of who or what did the spotting. Which is a bug. Normally, only commander units can authorize fire-support from artillery pits, sensor units cannot.

On the subject of milking power - while the following idea isn't campaign-specific what about scripting a maximum power level? E.g. an "if (current_power > X) current_power = x;" sort of thing.

This could be made a per-weapon setting in Weapons.txt....Slow-reloading weapons will wait for projectiles to impact, high-rate weapons will try to kill as much as possible.
