Re: Sounds Are Broken in RC on Ubuntu Jaunty

I just did a fresh install and can confirm the problem still exists. Can anyone help me debug this further? Im happy to create Ubuntu or Warzone bug reports. All audio works fine except for Warzone. I note these in the sys log while the game is executing Dec 4 16:58:50 PPP pulseaudio[5840]: module-a...

Sounds Are Broken in RC on Ubuntu Jaunty

Jaunty has the 2.1 RC1 warzone build. Like Fedora 10, it also has the new pulse audio sound server. Other games play fine but warzone is all pops, fizzes and noisy static when trying to play the music, voice and sound effects.

This did not occur in beta 4.

Re: Current Ubuntu PPA Builds?

While I can do a build of any needed deps and the source, the alternative of having regular releases is far superiour. The amount of coverage in hardware will be much higher across the board for official project test releases. Most people avoid SVN head compiles for testing.

Re: Current Ubuntu PPA Builds?

Thanks. Perhaps its better to do more frequent less ambitious releases? That way testers could better help the dev work being done.

Menu Not Intuitive

Since save games are allowed in single player vs AI hosted matches, the menu choice of loading from the campaign menu is non intuitive and poorly discoverable.

Beta 4 AI Poor

I started up a single player vs AI game using the small startup map. Once I got the satellite view I noticed the AI had a bunch of trucks sitting there together doing nothing. Then in another area was a truck continually doing circles. I played a defensive strategy and noticed the AI failed to get b...
