I'm seeing this problem with other weapons also, including the machine gun in Alpha 1 when firing on the shorter scavengers.

The issues go a bit beyond timing limits. My primary "combat speed", 0.5, is gone also. That was the minimum speed that avoided "turtle wheelies" where units turning downhill did not adjust properly. I confess I am rather spoiled with the 0.1, 3.0, and, occasionally, 10.0 speeds....

Alpha 11 This is a light mission if done right and fast. Have MB 1 board right away. Your LZ is in the SW corner. Reinforcements are fast at 1 minute. Send an AS unit, then the other MB. I always assign 2 MD (Mobile Repair) units to each commander (and every other combat team I deploy). It keeps them in the field for much longer while their AS (artillery) charges rain death on the enemy. Having a MB (tank) team nearby to cover if needed is also a good idea.

I never use bomb bays for VTOLS. My VAS (VTOL Assault) Bombers use the Bunker Buster to wipe out structures. The VAT (VTOL Anti-Tank) units use Rockets (Lancer->Tank Killer->Scourge). I can hit from further away, minimizing AA damage. The Panther body is ideal until you get NEXUS bodies.
