Re: Are you translating warzone to your language?
Things to remember, the total string length cannot exceed 60 characters (at this time)! If it does, it will be cut off. If we were to increase that, it would break savegames. For example, "VTOL Hyper Velocity Cannon Retaliation VTOL" is 43 characters. If your translation of that is above ...

Re: New Models for WZ2100! :)
That looks amazing! But I'm not totally sure if the devs will agree remaking the game with the unity engine because: -It's propriatary -It cost a lot -It's not compatible with Linux, nor with the Pandora (while cross-platforming is one of the main reasons why WZ has been resurrected) etc. That's too...

Port the game to Spring?
I know I may look like a N00B that only cares about the graphics, but... Why couldn't we port Warzone to the Spring engine? When somebody asks to modify the engine, to allow better poly count, for example, the devs refuse because it's too much work! And because of that, we're still stuck with an arc...

Yeah, you're right, that could be cool!

Re: NEW STRUCTURE MODELS
http://forums.wz2100.net/download/file.php?id=4245&t=1 I have a question... How can you determine the productivity of your power plant? As we all know, a power plant (in Warzone, of course!) can handle up to 4 derricks. If you want to know the saturation of your PP with the current model, you j...

Re: Subtiteled FMVs?
Weird...
In my case the FMVs are subtitled but don't seem use the (French) translation. Instead, they're in English.
SVN 7172 (I think, but it may also be 7174)
Linux Ubuntu 9.04

Subtiteled FMVs?
I haven't tired the 2.2 release (svn) yet, but I just wanted to know if the FMVs were subtitled?
And if not, why not do so?

Re: there is no maps folder in my WZ2100 directory!
Yeah, it comes from Linux.thaineale wrote: gah, i thought it would be in c/ ect... missed the 'my documents part... sorry.
If you want to modify the game folder, you need the administrator pass.
So maps and savefiles are almost always saved in your personal folder.

You should compilee flex yourself.
I recommand you to upgrade rather to downgrade it.

Trust me!
You just need to copy-paste this:
Code: Select all
svn co svn://svn.gna.org/svn/warzone/trunk warzone
sudo apt-get build-dep warzone2100*
cd warzone
./configure
make
sudo make install

Re: French Translation
What do you mean?
You're asking if the FMVs have been translated in the original CD?
I guess so, since the in-game Advisor strings were also translated.
