Re: Forklifts

Starcraft. Buildings that can lift up and land anywhere acceptable, but lets think from a different perspective. Idea: A large vtol that is made at a vtol factory. It can carry any medium sized bulding-small sized building. It flies fairly fast and can carry up to 9 spaces of buildings. So that is 9...

Re: Forklifts

I will only support this idea if forklifts can only carry bunkers and emplacements(mortars included).

Re: Magnets

Instead of magnets or unit sucking towers/turrets(which is ridiculous), lets use something more realistic. Right now I am thinking that magnets are either totally useless(send one cyborg and the army goes past it) or magnets will be too op. So here are my alternate suggestions. Oh by the way, why ca...

Promote Wz2100 through Media

There are times when there are no games in the lobby for half an hour. It really tests my patience to click on the refresh button several times just to find no results. Looking back at many old games I used to play; I noticed a steady loss of players or a blank lobby for hours. On the other hand, I ...

Re: What is your favorite type of map for Multiplayer?

Wow, I am surprised that NTW got the highest vote, because in my honest opinion NTW is a plain map. Next, I almost decided to choose towers, because it was interesting, but it lacks the low oil fun.

Re: Some thoughts about NullBot Flamer AI and Flamer build

Too bad things are really different in Multi-player, because you rarely see flamer tactics. Even if you do, it often does not pay off. Furthermore, one big reason why players don't use flamer tactics is because they are afraid(the only thing really). The reasons why specifically in 1v1s flamers aren...

Re: How Irrelevant Scouting is Mid/Late Game.

Also, I noticed there is a huge gap between what we call scouting in warzone (Roughly having a cheap unit on the front line) and what Kourtious seem to call scouting (sending a specialized unit deep inside the enemy line). Scouting in my definition varies a lot. It really depends on how you look at...

Re: How Irrelevant Scouting is Mid/Late Game.

You make an assumption about low oil and start using that assumption as basis for you facts. Pro players can fight it out for hours on low oil I have seen one game go for 6 hours and yes there was artillery so Every Assumption is wrong. You need to play a lot more on line and see...Don't play again...

Re: How Irrelevant Scouting is Mid/Late Game.

Lets use low oil games as an example. (standard 4-6 oils per player and 2-4 oils per player to compete for) with (weak-medium level scavs or no scavs at all). This way artillery numbers & efficiency are properly portrayed. Normally, there is little or no artillery in a low oil game, because low ...

Re: Merowingg's Maps

Merowingg I do like your maps and I want more honestly. However, the campaign of Wz bores me to death. I was wondering though, with your experience in map making(and activeness) you could team up with the community developers of Warzone to let you publish an official campaign for the game. Here is m...

Re: Question?

Hmm, why not replace the current graphics subsystem with OpenSceneGraph.? As long as it won't fry my CPU I'm fine with the update. I don't care how long it takes, just continue to improve, See the thing is, you guys have a lot of good ideas. For example, refactoring which you mentioned, but do you a...

Re: Merowingg's Maps

I like your maps, maybe you should make a special campaign for the game, would be cool to have more campaigns soaking up my time.

How Irrelevant Scouting is Mid/Late Game.

Scouting becomes far less relevant as the game goes on. Normally you would simply scout for oil derricks and enemy base. Once that is done, there was no other purpose to scouting. Mid game Scout-ruining reasons: -You have sensors to see any invaders. -Defenses makes scouting very hard. If you can al...

Re: A bug, but I can't post without an account

I still can't find the map. Here is what I have:
5 folders
-doc
-fonts
-locale
-mods
-music

It is not in the folders for some reason. Any other way?
