Is EB now primary/upstream for contingency? No not really. Development on contingency ceased so I took it upon myself to add all the extra graphical models from contingency and roll them into EB. I did the same thing with all other relevant mods including Art Revolution, Ultimate Scavs and WZ graph...

No there isn't a cheat/mod like that but you can go to structures.json or weapons.json and set one weapon turret or structure to have significantly more "hitpoints" and just use that turret or building for testing purposes. Your observations are correct. In research.json the armor upgrades only apply to “Droids” and transporters are classified as “Transports”. See “filterValue” in the armor upgrade below. I'd love to try this mod but the game keeps crashing due to the memory errors someone previously posted about.
